Privacy
Your code stays yours.
StageLeaf is made by Pavenio Labs Pvt Ltd (“we”). The short version: the app has no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting and no account. We never receive your code, your repositories or anything about how you use the app. This page explains exactly what the app keeps on your computer and which network connections it makes for you.
The StageLeaf app
What it stores — on your computer only
- The list of repositories you've opened in StageLeaf.
- Your preferences: theme, editor settings, background-fetch interval and similar.
- Window and panel layout.
- Which of your GitHub accounts to use for each repository, if you set one.
This lives in StageLeaf's settings file on your machine. It is never sent to us. Deleting the app's data folder removes it.
Network connections it makes for you
StageLeaf only talks to services you already use. None of these connections go to us.
- Your git remotes (GitHub, GitLab, your own server…) when you fetch, pull or push — and in the background every few minutes and when the window regains focus, so behind-counts stay accurate. Background fetch can be switched off in Preferences.
- GitHub, through the GitHub CLI (
gh) you have installed, for pull requests and to check which account you're signed in with when the app starts. - Profile pictures from github.com and gravatar.com, shown next to commits. To look one up, Gravatar receives a one-way hash of the commit author's email address. Turn off Profile images in Preferences and these requests stop.
Your credentials
StageLeaf uses your system's own git, credential helper, SSH agent and
gh login. It never reads, stores or transmits your passwords, tokens or
SSH keys.
What it doesn't do
- No telemetry, usage statistics or analytics.
- No crash or error reports sent anywhere.
- No account, sign-up or licence check.
- No automatic update checks. You download new versions from this site.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. Fonts are served from this site.
- The site and the installers are hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as your IP address and browser type, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't use it to identify or profile you.
Changes
If anything here changes — for example, if the app ever needs to send something new — we will update this page and its effective date before that version ships.
